is Health and Physical Fitness the same as physical therapy?
My P.E. teacher wanted to major in something concentrating in physical therapy or sports medicine. I think he chose Kinesiology? (Sorry, I?m not the best speller!) I would ask your counselor if you?re still in HS, or maybe talk to a master dean or some other academic advisor at your school. How much physical therapists earn would depend on their employer or where they work (at a HS, or as a private gym trainer, for a hospital, etc.)PTs work mostly with people with injuries. It is a clinical doctorate. It takes 6-7 years after hs. www.apta.org.
What you describe is a personal trainer. They do not even need a degree just passing a weekend certification course. They make very little money.Great question. To answer simply, they are different degrees. Health and Physical Fitness likely would get you a job as a personal trainer or an aide in a physical therapy facility. These individuals make very little money.

If you are considering getting into physical therapy, health and physical fitness may be a good undergraduate degree but alone, the degree won?t get you very far. for a describe on college board it says ?Students of health and physical fitness learn how to promote and research physical fitness. They also learn how to help people become better athletes. Classes cover such topics as motivation, sporting rules, exercise techniques, and injury prevention.
