UNION, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- A two-year-old toddler was found dead in a neighbor's pool in Union, Missouri Sunday morning.
Police say the twin two-year-olds went missing at 8:15 a.m. in the 1100 block of Halligen Estates.
Union Police say a 3-year-old woke their mom's boyfriend and told him the twins, a boy and a girl,?were gone and that the back door was open. When the boyfriend went to check on the children, he discovered they were missing, along with the family dog.
The man reportedly left the?trailer and called the mother to tell her they were missing, then walked to the twins' grandmother's trailer.
When the mother arrived, she found the dog in front of another trailer. The mother told police she heard the male child talking, and that's when she and her boyfriend found the two-year-old girl submerged face-up in the two-foot high pool.
The girl was taken from the pool by the two adults and given CPR. A Union ambulance arrived and took the child to Mercy Hospital in Washington where she was pronounced dead.
It is unknown how long?the child was in the pool or how long she was outside?the home.
