GAYLORD ? The Gaylord boys' basketball squad fought admirably against TC West Friday but came up short at home, 57-46.

Tyler Frisch led Blue Devil scorers with 18 points, Chris Stout had a solid game with 10 points and Tyler Cherry finished with seven.

JOHANNESBURG ? The J-L girls' basketball squad continued Ski Valley domination Friday with an easy 59-7 victory over Mancelona.

The Cardinals were led by Hannah Huff with 12 points, followed by Abby Schlicher with 11. All 13 members of the team reached the score sheet with at least two points.
